Suzanne Savickas, M.F.A., Ph.D., CRC, LPC, has a Ph.D. in Counseling and Human Development Services from Kent State University and holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts in Writing and Poetics with a specialization in Poetry from the University of Naropa. He is certified for Rehabilitative Counseling and has a Professional Counseling qualification in the state of Ohio. For more than a decade, Suzanne has been contributing to work in life design and career building. She uses the life design paradigm to support her interventions in her work as a therapist in private practice. Previously she worked as a professional consultant and trained in professional development courses at John Carroll University and Youngstown State University, as well as teaching the rehabilitation counseling program at Kent State University and co-training in the counselor training and supervision program at Kent State University. She has also worked in the field of vocational rehabilitation counseling in both the private and public sectors. In addition, she has published articles and book chapters on vocational counseling and presented reports on this topic at regional, national and international conferences. Suzanne is on the editorial boards of the Journal of Employment Counseling, the Journal of Pedagogical Research and the African Journal of Career Development, and as an ad hoc reviewer for the Baltic Journal of Management. She has recently adapted the My Career Story for the population of young people and people with disabilities (MCS-Universal), which has been translated into Italian, with the 2nd extended edition of the manual which came out in September 2019.
