During the International Counseling Psychology Conference “Creating the Future: Counseling Psychologists in a Changing World”, Chicago (Illinois, USA) from 6 to 9 March 2008, prof. Salvatore Soresi was awarded with “The 2008 Distinguished Contributions to the International Advancement of the Counseling Profession Award”, for his exceptional achievements, visionary leadership, scholarships, wisdom, cross-national collaboration, and long-standing contributions that have affected innumerable people around the world.
The conference was organised by the Society of Counseling Psychology Division 17, the American Psychological Association, the Council of Counseling Psychology Training Programs and the Association of Counseling Center Training Agencies.
